Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed House Bill No. 1 of the Second Special Session of 1991.

This emergency bill defines districts for electing representatives to the Prince George's
County Board of Education.

Senate Bill No. 1, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me on
September 26, 1991, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me
to sign House Bill No. 1.

House Bill No. 1

AN ACT concerning

Prince George's County - School Board Districts

FOR the purpose of defining districts for electing representatives to the Prince George's
County Board of Education; specifying certain election district and precinct
boundaries; making this Act an emergency measure; and generally relating to the
reconfiguration of school board districts in Prince George's County.

BY repealing

Article - Education

Section 3-801(a) through (j)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1989 Replacement Volume and 1991 Supplement)

BY adding to

Article - Education

Section 3-801 (a) through (j)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1989 Replacement Volume and 1991 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 3-801(a) through (j) of Article - Education of the
Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed.
