86 Mary Ennalls Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following manumission was received (paid) to x.d and recorded on the 12th day of January 1854 to wit Charles Harrison & State of Maryland Dorchester County To wit: To all whom it may Concern Henry Banks be it known that I Mary Ennalls, of Dorchester County, in the state of Maryland, for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery, liberated, manumitted and set free and by these presents do hereby release from Slavery liberate manumit and set free my two negro men Charles Harrison and Henry Banks being of the age of thirty years and able to work and gain a sufficient livelihood and maintenance and they the said negro men named Charles Harrison and Henry Banks I do declare to be henceforth free, manumitted, and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand & seal this 12th day of January A. D. 1854 before the Subscriber a Justice of the peace of the state of Maryland in & for Dorchester County aforesaid personally appears Mary Ennalls she being known to me to be the person who is named and described as and professing to be the party to the foregoing deed of manumission and doth acknowledge the said indenture or instrument of writing to be her act and deed In testimony whereof I hereto set my hand and seal on the day and year aforesaid William D. Barrow Elizabeth C. Sulivane Be it remembered and it is hereby Certified that the following (paid) to xd Manumission was received and recorded on the 12th day of January 1854 to wit: Cassy Hinson State of Maryland Dorchester County. To all whom it may Concern be it known, that I Elizabeth Cathrall Sulivane of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland for divers good Causes and Considerations me thereunto moving have released from slavery, liberated, manumitted and set free, and by these presents do hereby release from slavery, liberate, manumit and set free my negro woman Cassy Hinson I do declare to be henceforth free, manumitted and discharged from all manner of service or servitude to me my heirs, executors or administrators forever In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand & seal this 12 day of January A. Beall This Indenture made this tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty four between Richard M. Beall of Dorchester County in the State of Maryland, of the one part and James Wallace James E. Douglass and Josiah Jump of the Same County and state aforesaid of the other part.
