Local Government - Garrett County Commissioners - Disposal of Surplus
Supplied County Property
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County
to dispose of surplus supplies, equipment, or other personal property belonging
to the county by recycling or disposal in the Garrett County landfill; and
generally relating to the disposal of surplus county property in Garrett County.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 25 - County Commissioners
Section 11A(h)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(2005 Replacement Volume and 2006 Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
11A.
(h) Notwithstanding subsection (a) of this section, in Garrett County, the
Board of County Commissioners may dispose of surplus supplies, equipment, or other
personal property belonging to the county by the following means:
(1) Public auction;
(2) Public sale; [or]
(3) Trade-in for new or used equipment;
(4) recycling; or
(5) Disposal in the Garrett County landfill.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2007.
