(IV) HEALTH CARE FACILITIES, AND SERVICES, AND
WORKFORCE INFRASTRUCTURE;
(V) community infrastructure and growth,*.
(VI) environmental stewardship,
(VII) workforce housing, and
(VIII) transportation;
(3) provide a forum for discussion of
interdepartmental issues and coordination relating to activities
that support military installations est the state;
(4) collaborate with and review the recommendations
of the maryland military installation council established under
Article 83A § 5-1710.1 of the Code;
(5) work with local jurisdictions affected by the brac
recommendations to achieve the requisite levels of planning,
coordination, and cooperation among the state and local
governments;
(6) work with Maryland's congressional delegation to
attain federal funds to support the missions of military
installations in the state;
(7) make policy and budget recommendations to the
governor and general assembly to strengthen state support of
military installations in the state; and
(8) perform other duties assigned by the governor.
(i) in coordination with state agencies, the subcabinet shall
evaluate and report annually to the governor and, in accordance
with § 2-1246 of this article, to the general assembly on state
action to support the mission of military installations located in
the State.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 2007. It shall remain effective for a period of 4 years and 7 months and, at the
