(I) Employ any person under THE AGE OF 18 years [of age] for
the purposes of selling or serving alcoholic beverages; [or] [(2)] (II) Permit any person under THE AGE OF 18 years [of age] to
sell or serve alcoholic beverages; OR (III) EMPLOY EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (3) OF
THIS SUBSECTION, EMPLOY A PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF 21 YEARS TO ACT AS
A BARTENDER OR TO SERVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AT A PERMANENT
FULL-SERVICE BAR. (3) A PERSON AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD MAY ACT AS A BARTENDER
OR SERVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AT A PERMANENT FULL-SERVICE BAR IF THE
PERSON IS THE SON OR DAUGHTER OF THE OWNER OF THE ESTABLISHMENT. (3) (4) AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LICENSEE MAY EMPLOY: (I) A PERSON AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD TO SERVE
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WHILE ACTING AS A WAITER OR WAITRESS; OR (II) A PERSON AT LEAST 16 YEARS OLD TO ACT AS A
BARTENDER'S ASSISTANT WHO: 1. MAY REPLACE ICE, REMOVE TRASH, OR PERFORM
SIMILAR TASKS THAT DO NOT INVOLVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES; BUT 2. MAY NOT ENGAGE IN THE DISTRIBUTION OR SALE
OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2007.
