(2) "BRAC" INCLUDES THE DEFENSE CONVERSION AND
DEFENSE ECONOMIC ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM OF THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION. (B) THERE IS A BASE REALIGNMENT AND CLOSURE SUBCABINET. (C) THE SUBCABINET CONSISTS OF: (1) THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR; (2) THE SECRETARY OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT; (3) THE SECRETARY OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT; (4) THE SECRETARY OF THE ENVIRONMENT; (5) THE SECRETARY OF HIGHER EDUCATION; (6) THE SECRETARY OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT; (7) THE SECRETARY OF LABOR, LICENSING, AND REGULATION; (8) THE SECRETARY OF PLANNING; AND (9) THE SECRETARY OF TRANSPORTATION; AND (10) THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS. (D) THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR SHALL SERVE AS CHAIR OF THE
SUBCABINET AND SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OVERSIGHT, DIRECTION,
AND ACCOUNTABILITY OF THE WORK OF THE SUBCABINET. (E) (1) THE DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT SHALL PROVIDE THE PRIMARY STAFF SUPPORT FOR THE
SUBCABINET. (2) THE CHAIR OF THE SUBCABINET MAY CALL ON ANY OF THE
SUBCABINET MEMBERS TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL STAFF ASSISTANCE AS NEEDED.
