The Honorable Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr.
President of the Senate
State House
Annapolis, MD 21401
Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have
vetoed Senate Bill 958 - Frederick County - Alcoholic Beverages - Tables and Chairs at
Wineries.
This bill allows in Frederick County a holder of a limited winery license to provide
tables and chairs on the premises of the licensed facility for the sale, by the glass, of
wine and pomace brandy made at the facility to a person who participates in a guided
tour of the facility.
House Bill 320, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 958.
Sincerely,
Martin O'Malley
Governor
Senate Bill 958

to provide tables and chairs on the premises of the licensed facility for the sale,
by the glass, of wine and pomace brandy made at the facility to a person who
participates in a guided tour of the facility; and generally relating to alcoholic
beverages in Frederick County.
BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
Section 8-211 (a)
