(4) A MEMBER WHO IS APPOINTED AFTER A TERM HAS BEGUN SERVES
ONLY FOR THE REST OF THE TERM AND UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND
QUALIFIES.
(5) A MEMBER WHO SERVES TWO CONSECUTIVE FULL 3-YEAR TERMS
MAY NOT BE REAPPOINTED FOR 3 YEARS AFTER COMPLETION OF THOSE TERMS.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 83C, § 2-107.
In subsection (a)(5) of this section, the reference to the Social Services
Administration "of the Department of Human Resources" is added for
clarity.
In subsection (a)(6) of this section, the reference to a "private" child welfare
agency is substituted for the former reference to a "voluntary" agency for
clarity.
In subsection (c)(2) of this section, the reference to terms being staggered
as required by the terms provided for members of the State Advisory Board
on "October 1, 2007" is substituted for the former obsolete reference to
terms being staggered as required by the terms provided on "July 1, 1982".
This substitution is not intended to alter the term of any member of the
State Advisory Board. See § 11 of Ch. 3, Acts of 2007. The terms of the
members serving on October 1, 2007, end as follows: (1) six in 2008; (2) six
in 2009; and (3) six in 2010.
Also in subsection (c)(2) of this section, the former reference to the "terms
of one-third of those members end [ing] each year" is deleted as
unnecessary.

(1) FROM AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THE STATE ADVISORY BOARD, THE
CHAIR SHALL APPOINT A SECRETARY.
(2) THE SECRETARY SHALL KEEP FULL AND ACCURATE MINUTES OF
EACH STATE ADVISORY BOARD MEETING.
