D25E03.02 Aging School Programs
General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$5,500,000 of this appropriation shall he
reduced contingent on enactment of SB
986 - Qualified Zone Academy Bonds that
restricts $5,500,000 for the Aging Schools
grants.
Further provided that $10,291,590 of this
appropriation for the Technology in
Maryland Schools program may only be
expended for lease financing
requirements. Funds restricted herein for
the Technology in Maryland Schools
program but not expended shall revert to
the general fund.
Further provided that $2,000,000 of this
appropriation may not be expended until
the Interagency Committee on School
Construction issues guidelines for local
education agencies to use in long-term
planning for major systems' repair and
replacement needs. The guidelines shall
be submitted to the budget committees
and they shall have 45 days to review and
comment.
Further provided that $11,994,986 for the
Aging Schools program shall be allocated
to county boards of education in
accordance with Section 5-206(f) of the
