SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That:
(a) There is a Task Force to Study Rent Stabilization for the Elderly in
Prince George's County.
(b) The Task Force consists of the following nine members:
(1) Two members of the House of Delegates, appointed, by the chair of
the Prince George's County House Delegation;
(2) Two members of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by the Chair of
the Prince George's County Senate Delegation;
(3) One representative of the Prince George's County Executive's
Office, designated by the County Executive;
(4) One representative of the Prince George's County Council,
appointed by the chair; and
(5) One representative from the Maryland chapter of AARP,
designated by the Maryland AARP State president;
(6) One representative of the Apartment and Office Building
Association (AOBA), designated by AOBA; and
(7) One representative from a Prince George's County municipal
corporation, appointed by the President of the Prince George's County Municipal
Association.
(c) The County Executive shall choose a chair from among the members of
the Task Force.
(d) Prince George's County shall provide staff for the Task Force.
(e) A member of the Task Force:
(1) May not receive compensation; but
(2) Is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard
State Travel Regulations as provided in the State budget.
