7-603. PURPOSE OF PROGRAM.
THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE FOR THE
PURCHASE OF ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 41, § 14-903.
The former phrase "equipment designed to enable individuals with
disabilities to become more independent or more productive members of
the community with an improved quality of life" is deleted as unnecessary
because it is included in the definition of "assistive technology".

7-605. BOARD OF DIRECTORS — MEMBERSHIP.
(A) COMPOSITION; APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS.
THE BOARD CONSISTS OF:
(1) THE SECRETARY OF BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT OR THE
SECRETARY'S DESIGNEE;
(2) A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND
MENTAL HYGIENE, DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADMINISTRATION, APPOINTED
BY THE SECRETARY OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE;
(3) A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION
DIVISION OF REHABILITATION SERVICES, APPOINTED BY THE STATE
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS; AND
(4) EIGHT MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR
WITH THE ADVICE AND CONSENT OF THE SENATE.
(B) QUALIFICATIONS OF MEMBERS APPOINTED BY GOVERNOR
