(C) FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, EACH INDIVIDUAL FAILURE TO
COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE IS A SEPARATE
VIOLATION.
14-4A-14.
THIS SUBTITLE MAY BE CITED AS THE VEHICLE PROTECTION PRODUCTS
ACT.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall be
construed to apply only prospectively and may not be applied or interpreted to have
any effect on or application to any vehicle protection product sold or warranted before
the effective date of this Act.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall not be
interpreted to mean that a vehicle protection product warranty issued prior to the
effective date of this Act was an insurance policy on a vehicle that has a vehicle
protection product installed on or applied to it.
SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
January 1, 2008.

AN ACT concerning
Elevator Safety - Third-Party Qualified Elevator Inspectors
FOR the purpose of authorizing the inspection of modifications or alterations periodic
annual no-load tests of elevator units in existing buildings by third-party
qualified elevator inspectors; requiring the Commissioner of Labor and Industry
to adopt certain regulations for inspections of modifications or alterations
periodic annual no-load tests of elevator units in existing buildings; requiring
the Commissioner to establish certain qualifications, insurance requirements,
and procedures to register third-party qualified elevator inspectors; providing
that certain notice and fee requirements only apply to new elevator unit
installations inspections conducted by a State inspector; repealing the
requirement that the Commissioner conduct a final acceptance inspection after
