(f) A person who acts in good faith and within the scope of jurisdiction of a
hearing aid dispenser rehabilitation committee is not civilly liable for any action as a
member of the hearing aid dispenser rehabilitation committee or for giving
information to, participating in, or contributing to the function of the hearing aid
dispenser rehabilitation committee.] 2-319. (a) A licensed speech-language pathologist may delegate duties to an
assistant within the scope of practice and supervision guidelines in the regulations
adopted under subsection (b) of this section. (b) The Board shall adopt regulations to establish qualifications AND SCOPE
OF PRACTICE for the position of a speech-language [pathologist] PATHOLOGY
assistant AND THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SUPERVISION OF A
SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT BY A SUPERVISOR OF A
SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY ASSISTANT. 2-401. (a) Except as otherwise provided in this title, a person may not practice,
attempt to practice, or offer to practice audiology, [provide hearing aid services]
HEARING AID DISPENSING, or [practice] speech-language pathology, OR ASSIST IN
THE PRACTICE OF SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY in this State unless licensed
BY THE BOARD to practice audiology, [provide hearing aid services] HEARING AID
DISPENSING, or [practice] speech-language pathology, OR ASSIST IN THE PRACTICE
OF SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY [by the Board]. (b) A person may not use or attempt to use a license or a limited license that
has been purchased, fraudulently obtained, counterfeited, or materially altered. 2-402. (a) Unless authorized to practice audiology under this title OR UNLESS
OTHERWISE PROVIDED FOR IN THIS ARTICLE, a person may not represent to the
public by title, by description of services, methods, or procedures, or otherwise that the
person: (1) Is authorized to practice audiology in this State; or (2) Evaluates, examines, directs, instructs, or counsels individuals
suffering from disorders or conditions that affect hearing AND BALANCE or assists
those individuals in the perception of sound.
