SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article - State Personnel and Pensions
2-515.1.
(a) This section applies to the Southern Maryland Regional
Library, the Eastern Shore Regional Library, and the Western
Maryland Regional Library.
(b) An employee of a regional library subject to this section
may enroll and participate in the health insurance benefit options
established under the program with the approval of the library.
(c) a regional library subject to this section shall:
(1) pay to the state the total costs resulting from the
participation of its employees in the program; and
(2) determine the extent to which the regional library
will subsidize participation of its employees in the program.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2007.
