(1) one member of the House of Delegates, appointed by the Speaker of
the House;
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
(2) one member of the Senate of Maryland, appointed by the President
of the Senate;
(3) the following eight members, appointed by the Secretary of
Natural Resources:
(i) a representative of the Department of Natural Resources
Fisheries Service;
(ii) a representative of the Department's Oyster Restoration and
Repletion Programs;
(iii) a representative of the Natural Resources Police;
(iv) a representative with scientific expertise on oyster disease;
(v) a representative with scientific expertise on oyster disease;
(vi) representative with scientific expertise on oyster
restoration;
(vii) a representative of the Maryland recreational fishing or
fishing guide community; and
(viii) a representative of a nongovernmental organization engaged
in oyster restoration in the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries; and
(4) a representative of the Maryland Watermen's Association,
appointed by the President of the Association.
(c) The Secretary of Natural Resources shall appoint the chair of the Task
Force.
(d) The Task Force shall:
(1) formulate an action plan regarding the necessary methodology,
time frame, and costs of:
(i) minimizing the impact of oyster disease in the Chesapeake
Bay and its tributaries;
(ii) maximizing the ecological benefits of natural oyster bars;
