Ch. 272                                    2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Chapter 191 of the Acts of 2002

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2002. [It shall remain effective for a period of 2 years and, at the end of
September 30, 2004, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this
Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2004.

(Senate Bill 428)

AN ACT concerning

State Government - State Team SportLacrosse Designations

FOR the purpose of designating the Patuxent River stone as the State gem;
designating
lacrosse as the State team sport; and generally relating to the State
team sport
State designations.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

(A)     Jousting is the State sport.

(B)     LACROSSE IS THE STATE TEAM SPORT.
