Ch. 251                                    2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(1)     Shall be a member of the general public;

(2)     May not be or ever have been a social worker or in training to become
a social worker;

(3)     May not have a household member who is a social worker or in
training to become a social worker;

(4)     May not participate or ever have participated in a commercial or
professional field related to social work;

(5)     May not have a household member who participates in a commercial
or professional field related to social work; and

(6)     May not have had within 2 years before appointment a substantial
financial interest in a person regulated by the Board or a person that employs a
person regulated by the Board.

(d) Except for the licensed social worker associate member and the licensed
graduate social worker member, each social worker member of the Board shall have
been licensed in the State for 5 years immediately preceding the appointment and
actively employed in the field of social work for at least 3 of the 5 years immediately
preceding the appointment.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2004.

CHAPTER 251
(Senate Bill 134)

AN ACT concerning

Baltimore County Code - 2003 Edition - Legalization

FOR the purpose of legalizing the 2003 Edition of the Baltimore County Code and any
supplement to the extent to which that code or supplement contains laws
enacted by the General Assembly; and generally relating to the 2003 Edition of
the Baltimore County Code.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the 2003 Edition of the Baltimore County Code and any
supplement to the 2003 Edition of the Baltimore County Code, to the extent to which
that code or supplement contains laws enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
is legalized. The 2003 Edition of the Baltimore County Code and any supplement
shall be deemed and taken in all the courts of the State and by all public officials of
the State and its political subdivisions to be evidence of the law enacted by the
General Assembly contained in the Code or a supplement to it.
