AN ACT concerning

Washington County - Special Wine Tasting License and Alcohol Awareness

Program Certified Employees

FOR the purpose of authorizing the issuance of a special wine tasting license to certain
alcoholic beverages license holders in Washington County;
requiring in
Washington County that certain persons be certified by an approved alcohol
awareness program and be present during certain hours; providing for a certain
limited exemption; and generally relating to alcoholic beverages licensees in
Washington County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

8-411.

(a)     This section applies only in Washington County.

(b)     A special wine tasting license (WTL) may be issued only to a holder of a
Class A (off-sale) beer, wine and liquor license OR A CLASS B (ON-OFF SALE) BEER
WINE AND LIQUOR LICENSE.

13-101.

(c)      (1) A holder of any class of retail alcoholic beverages license or an
employee designated by the holder shall complete training in an approved alcohol
