Ch. 154                                   2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(14)   1 shall be a representative of the railroads;

(15)   1 shall be a representative of the auto rental companies;

(16)   3 shall be representatives of suppliers; and

(17)   3 shall be representatives of the attractions sector.

(d)     The terms of the members shall be 4 years each.

(e)     At the end of a term, an appointed member continues to serve until a
successor is appointed and qualifies.

(f)      The members serve at the pleasure of the Governor.

(g)     The members of the Advisory Committee shall serve without
compensation.

(h) The Advisory Committee shall:

(1)     Collect and prepare information that relates to the economic, fiscal,
and social effects of tourism in the State; and

(2)     Advise the Board on actions and incentives that will assist the Board
in carrying out its duties.

(i) The Board may request the members of the Advisory Committee
to serve on committees appointed by the Board to assist the Board in achieving its
objectives in the development of tourism programs in the State.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2004.

(House Bill 109)

AN ACT concerning

Environment —Cathode Ray Tubes and Computer Products - Electronic

Waste Collection Systems

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a manufacturer from selling, using, distributing, or
offering to sell a computer product or a cathode ray tube after a certain date
unless the manufacturer implements a certain collection system plan; requiring
a collection system plan to include certain elements; requiring a manufacturer
to submit a certain report to the Department within a certain period of time;
authorizing the Department to order manufacturers to take certain actions
under certain circumstances; requiring the Department to adopt certain
regulations; authorizing the Department to adopt certain regulations; defining
