(v) Any institution of higher education in the State offering a
master's degree in nursing; OR

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2004.

CHAPTER 12
(Senate Bill 32)

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Titling and Registration - Temporary Registrations

FOR the purpose of repealing the authority of the Motor Vehicle Administration,
when issuing a temporary vehicle registration, to issue a certain registration
card and plate; repealing certain limitations on the period during which a
temporary registration remains valid; expanding the authority of the
Administration to require certain vehicle inspections prior to titling and to issue
temporary registrations; and generally relating to vehicle titling and
registration.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 13-405 and 23-107

Annotated Code of Maryland                                       

(2002 Replacement Volume and 2003 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY, THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:                         

Article - Transportation

13-405.

(a)     If an application for registration and certificate of title of a vehicle is
accompanied by the required fees, the Administration may issue a temporary
registration [card and a temporary registration plate] to permit the vehicle to be
driven pending action on the application by the Administration.

(b)     Temporary registration may be issued for a period determined by the
Administrator [but may not exceed 15 days].
