Ch. 118 2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND (b) A person, with the intent to UNLAWFULLY extort [or gain] money, (1) accuse any person of a crime [that may be charged by indictment (2) (I) [injure the person or property of anyone] CAUSE PHYSICAL (II) INFLICT EMOTIONAL DISTRESS ON A PERSON; (III) CAUSE ECONOMIC DAMAGE TO A PERSON; OR (IV) CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY OF A PERSON. (c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a felony and on conviction is SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take Approved April 27, 2004. CHAPTER 118 AN ACT concerning Criminal Law - Resisting or FOR the purpose of prohibiting a person from intentionally resisting a lawful arrest; BY adding to Article - Criminal Law Section 9-408 Annotated Code of Maryland (2002 Volume and 2003 Supplement) - 546 -
