MUNICIPAL CHARTERS

ANNEXATION RESOLUTION 2003-1

A RESOLUTION of the Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of Rising Sun,
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XIE of the Constitution of Maryland and
Section 19 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition - 2001
Replacement Volume), for the enlargement of the corporate boundaries of said Town
by the annexation of certain land contiguous to and adjoining the existing corporate
area. (126.483 acres of land, 9.919 acres of land, and a 300 ft. by 50 ft. parcel of land,
more or less)

[Pursuant to Section C-1 of the Charter of the Town of Rising Sun, Cecil County,
as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters
(1990 Replacement Edition and 2003 Supplement).

Effective Date January 23, 2004]

Charter Amendment No. CA2003-00058

Resolution of the Mayor and Council of Rockville adopted pursuant to Article
XI-E of the Constitution of Maryland, Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, and the Charter of the City of Rockville to amend Article III of the
Charter of the City of Rockville, entitled "Registration, Nominations and Elections,"
Section 5, to modify the procedure for filling a vacancy in the offices of the Mayor and
Council; and Section 6, to change the number of signatures required for recall
elections.

[Sections 5 and 6 of Article III of the Charter of the City of Rockville,
Montgomery County, as found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of
Municipal Charters (1990 Replacement Edition and 2003 Supplement), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date July 1, 2003]
