ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor H.B. 529 Article - Health Occupations 8-6A-01. (a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated. (b) "Approved nursing assistant training program" means a course of training (c) "Board" means the State Board of Nursing. (d) "Certificate" means a certificate issued by the Board to practice as a (e) "Certified medicine aide" means a geriatric nursing assistant who has (f) "Certified nursing assistant": (1) Means an individual regardless of title who routinely performs (2) Does not include a medication assistant. (g) "Department" means the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. (h) "Geriatric nursing assistant" means a certified nursing assistant who has (i) "Medication assistant" means an individual who has completed the (J) "SKILLED NURSING ASSISTANT" MEANS A CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT 8-6A-05. (a) The Board shall adopt regulations establishing: (1) Categories of certified nursing assistants, including geriatric nursing (2) CATEGORIES OF SKILLED NURSING ASSISTANTS IN THE FOLLOWING (I) LICENSED NURSING HOMES; AND (II) LICENSED DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ADMINISTRATION - 3087 -
