(b) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (a) of this section, on or before
the evaluation date for the following governmental activities or units, an evaluation
shall be made of the following governmental activities or units and the statutes and
regulations that relate to the governmental activities or units:

Occupations and Professions Article: July 1, 2009);]

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2004.

(House Bill 890)

AN ACT concerning

Municipal Corporations - Regulation of Junkyards, Dumps, and Other

Facilities - Ordinances

FOR the purpose of authorizing the legislative body of a municipal corporation to
adopt an ordinance for the licensing, control, location, or maintenance of certain
junkyards, dumps, and other facilities; requiring certain ordinances to be
designed to achieve certain purposes; authorizing an ordinance to prohibit the
operation or maintenance of certain junkyards, dumps, or other facilities in a
certain location until a certain license has been obtained; requiring the
legislative body of a municipal corporation to give certain notice of a hearing on
the adoption of an a certain proposed ordinance regulating junkyards; providing
that a certain municipal ordinance regulating junkyards is not valid unless a
certain hearing is held; providing that a violation of a municipal ordinance
regulating certain junkyards, dumps, and other facilities is a misdemeanor,
subject to a certain fine; authorizing the legislative body of a municipal
corporation to declare a certain violation to be a municipal infraction; providing
for the applicability of certain provisions of this Act;
defining a certain term; and
