certain date; requiring the Board to consult with certain groups in developing
certain regulations; and generally relating to the State Board of Nursing and
the certification of nursing assistants and medication technicians.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 8-208(c), 8-6A-01, 8-6A-02(a) and (b), 8-6A-03, 8-6A-04(a), 8-6A-05,
8-6A-07 through 8-6A-10, 8-6A-12, 8-6A-13(e), and 8-6A-15 to be
under the amended subtitle "Subtitle 6A. Certification of Nursing
Assistants and Medication Technicians"; and 8-706

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
Article - Health Occupations
Section 8-208(a) and (b) and 8-6A-13(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

8-208.

(a)     In this section, "program" means the rehabilitation program.

(b)     (1) There is a Rehabilitation Committee in the Board.

(2) The Board may create 1 or more rehabilitation committees.

(c)      (1) The Committee shall consist of [5] 6 members.

(2) Of the [5] 6 Committee members:

(i) 3 shall be licensed registered nurses, who have demonstrated
expertise in the field of chemical dependency or psychiatric nursing;

(II) 1 SHALL BE A REGISTERED NURSE, WHO HAS DEMONSTRATED
EXPERTISE IN THE AREA OF PAIN MANAGEMENT;

[(ii)] (III) 1 shall be a licensed practical nurse; and
