AIDS ADMINISTRATION

Provided that the AIDS Administration and
the Maryland Health Insurance Program
shall establish a pilot program to expand
insurance coverage through the Maryland
Health Insurance Program for persons
with HIV/AIDS who are currently
disqualified from participating in that
program. The AIDS Administration shall
use up to $250,000 in federal Ryan White
Title II funds to cover the cost of eligible
expenses for participation in the program.
The AIDS Administration and the
Maryland Health Insurance Program
shall report back to the General Assembly
by November 1, 2004, on progress in
implementing the program and again on
November 1, 2005, evaluating the pilot
program.

Further provided that no positions are
deleted from the AIDS Administration.
