AN ACT concerning
Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty Corporation - Actions for
Claims Information of Insolvent Insurers
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty
Corporation to bring an action against certain representatives of an insolvent
insurer to obtain custody and control of certain claims information under certain
circumstances; providing that the Corporation has a certain right to obtain
certain claims information in a certain manner; providing that the Corporation
is not subject to certain defenses or other grounds that might be asserted for
refusal to surrender claims information; requiring the court to award the
Corporation certain costs and attorney fees under certain circumstances;
providing for the effect of this Act; providing for the application of this Act; and
generally relating to actions brought by the Property and Casualty Insurance
Guaranty Corporation to obtain claims information of insolvent insurers.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

9-301.
(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.
(c) "Corporation" means the Property and Casualty Insurance Guaranty
Corporation.
9-306.
(G) (1) TO THE EXTENT APPROPRIATE OR NECESSARY FOR THE
CORPORATION, OR A SIMILAR ASSOCIATION OR CORPORATION IN ANOTHER STATE,
TO CARRY OUT ITS DUTIES UNDER THIS SUBTITLE, THE CORPORATION MAY BRING
