CHAPTER 414
(House Bill 1351)
AN ACT concerning
Mental Hygiene Administration Department of Health and Mental Hygiene -
State Facilities - Cemeteries
FOR the purpose of prohibiting the State from selling a cemetery owned by the State
and on the grounds of a State facility if the State facility is downsized,
consolidated, closed, or sold; requiring the State to maintain and to mark with a
certain monument a cemetery owned by the State; prohibiting the transfer or
sale of certain easements or rights of entry; providing that a cemetery or an
easement or right of entry to a cemetery owned by the State and located on the
grounds of a State facility may be sold under certain circumstances; defining a
certain term; and generally relating to State-owned cemeteries located on the
grounds of State facilities.

(A) IN THIS SECTION, "STATE FACILITY" MEANS:
(1) A FACILITY MAINTAINED BY THE MENTAL HYGIENE
ADMINISTRATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE AND
LISTED IN § 10-406 OF THE HEALTH - GENERAL ARTICLE; OR
