ROBERT L. EHRLICH, JR., Governor Ch. 368 Section 11-118 Annotated Code of Maryland (2002 Replacement Volume and 2003 Supplement) BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF Article - Transportation 11-118. "Emergency vehicle" means any of the following vehicles that are designated by (1) Vehicles of federal, State, or local law enforcement agencies; (2) Vehicles of volunteer fire companies, rescue squads, fire (3) State vehicles used in response to oil or hazardous materials spills; (4) State vehicles designated for emergency use by the Commissioner of (5) Ambulances; and (6) Special vehicles funded or provided by federal, State, or local 24-101. (a) The provisions of this subtitle governing size, weight, and load do not apply to: subtitle. (1) [Fire apparatus] EMERGENCY VEHICLES; (2) Farm equipment temporarily moved on a highway; or (3) A vehicle driven under the terms of a special permit issued under this SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect Approved May 11, 2004. - 1345 -
