(I) A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY;
(II) A FACILITY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL

HYGIENE;

(III) A DETENTION CENTER FOR JUVENILES;

(IV) A FACILITY FOR JUVENILES LISTED IN ARTICLE 83C, §
2-117(A)(2) OF THE CODE;

(V) A PLACE IDENTIFIED IN A JUVENILE COMMUNITY DETENTION
ORDER; OR

(VI) ANY OTHER FACILITY IN WHICH A PERSON IS CONFINED
UNDER COLOR OF LAW.

(2) "Place of confinement" does not include a place identified in a home
detention order or agreement.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2004.

AN ACT concerning

Disease Prevention - Laboratory Examination Reports

FOR the purpose of clarifying the requirement for the director of a medical laboratory
in the State to submit a report to a certain local health officer on certain
diseases or conditions; requiring the director of an out-of-state medical
laboratory to submit a report to the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene on
certain diseases or conditions under certain circumstances; requiring the
Secretary to inform a certain local health officer about a certain report from an
out-of-state medical laboratory; adding certain diseases to the list of diseases
and conditions required to be reported; requiring certain medical laboratories to
make a certain request under certain circumstances; requiring certain medical
laboratories to inform the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene of certain
information under certain circumstances; requiring certain medical laboratories
to provide certain medical laboratories, offices, or facilities with a certain form;
and generally relating to laboratory reporting of certain diseases and conditions.
