(iv) in Queen Anne's County, $7.50 for each property sold;

(v) in Wicomico County, $8 for each property sold;

(vi) in Worcester County, the greater of $8 for each property sold or
$300, to be allocated pro rata among each property sold; [and]

(VII) IN BALTIMORE CITY:

1.       FOR ANY DATE WHEN 1,2, OR 3 PROPERTIES ARE SOLD, AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10;

2.       FOR ANY DATE WHEN 4 OR MORE PROPERTIES ARE SOLD,
$3 FOR EACH PROPERTY SOLD; AND

3.       IN AN ELECTRONIC SALE, AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$10 FOR EACH PROPERTY SOLD; AND

[(vii)] (VIII) in Carroll County, the amount set by the Carroll
County Commissioners.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act is an emergency
measure, is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health or safety,
has been passed by a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members
elected to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly, and shall take effect from
the date it is enacted.

AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Trailers and Semitrailers - Surge Brakes

FOR the purpose of exempting certain vehicles from certain brake requirements;
authorizing a certain trailer or semitrailer to be equipped with surge brakes if
the trailer or semitrailer meets certain requirements relating to weight, design,
and use; requiring the Secretary of Transportation to adopt certain regulations
to be effective by a certain date; defining a certain term; providing for the
effective dates of this Act; and generally relating to the use of surge brakes on
certain trailers and semitrailers under certain circumstances.
