SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, on or before January 1,
2005, the State Board of Education shall report to the Senate Budget and Taxation
Committee, the Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee, the
House Appropriations Committee, and the House Ways and Means Committee, in
accordance with § 2-1246 of the State Government Article, on the results of its efforts
to enter into the reciprocity agreements. For each state with which the State Board
did not enter into a reciprocity agreement, the report shall include:
(1) a detailed description of the State Board's efforts to reach an
agreement; and
(2) an explanation of each factor contributing to the failure to reach an
agreement.
SECTION 3. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 2004.

AN ACT concerning
Frederick County - Loans to Volunteer Fire or Rescue Companies
FOR the purpose of authorizing the Board of County Commissioners of Frederick
County to provide loans to approved volunteer fire or rescue companies for land
or buildings to be used by the companies; making certain stylistic corrections;
and generally relating to volunteer fire and rescue companies in Frederick
County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

2-8-4.
