2004 LAWS OF MARYLAND

(1)      IMPLEMENT THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS
SECTION; AND

(2)      DETERMINE THE APPROPRIATE FEE LEVEL LEVELS THAT MAY BE
CHARGED BY A VENDOR AND BY THE DEPARTMENT FOR THE ELECTRONIC
TRANSMISSION SERVICE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October July 1, 2004.

AN ACT concerning

Department of Business and Economic Development - Realignment and

Closure of Military Installations

FOR the purpose of requiring the Secretary of Business and Economic Development
to designate an entity within the Department to be the single contact for issues
relating to realignment and closure of military installations in the State; and
generally relating to the Department of Business and Economic Development.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 83A - Department of Business and Economic Development

5-106.

THE SECRETARY SHALL DESIGNATE A DIVISION, AGENCY, OFFICE, OR OTHER
ENTITY WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT TO BE THE SINGLE CONTACT FOR ISSUES
RELATING TO REALIGNMENT AND CLOSURE OF MILITARY INSTALLATIONS IN THE
STATE.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2004.
