13-2611. CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS ON CONDUCT OF BINGO GAMES.
(A) ADMISSION CHARGE.
THE CHARGE FOR ADMISSION TO A PLACE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN BINGO
CONDUCTED UNDER THIS PART MAY NOT EXCEED $1.
(B) VALUE OF PRIZE.
(1) EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN PARAGRAPH (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION, THE
VALUE OF A PRIZE IN MONEY, MERCHANDISE, OR SERVICES FOR ANY ONE GAME OF
BINGO CONDUCTED UNDER THIS PART MAY NOT EXCEED $50.
(2) JACKPOT PRIZES MAY BE OFFERED IN A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF
$1,000.
(C) EMPLOYEES CONDUCTING BINGO.
A LICENSEE'S EMPLOYEES AND THE TERMS OF THEIR EMPLOYMENT MUST BE
APPROVED BY THE BOARD BEFORE THEY MAY CONDUCT BINGO UNDER THIS PART.
(D) AGE OF PARTICIPANTS.
A MINOR MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN BINGO CONDUCTED
UNDER THIS PART.
(E) SUNDAY BINGO PROHIBITED.
BINGO MAY NOT BE CONDUCTED UNDER THIS PART ON SUNDAY.
(F) LOCATION.
BINGO MAY NOT BE CONDUCTED UNDER THIS PART IN A ROOM OR AREA
WHERE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE SOLD OR SERVED DURING THE GAME.
(G) NUMBER OF DAYS.
A LICENSEE UNDER THIS PART MAY NOT CONDUCT BINGO ON MORE THAN 125
DAYS IN A YEAR.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from the fourth sentence of former Art. 27, § 251A(f) and the first
and third through seventh sentences of (j).
In subsection (a) of this section, the reference to a game of bingo
"conducted under this part" is added for clarity and consistency within this
part. Correspondingly, in subsections (c), (e), and (f) of this section, the
references to a game of bingo conducted "under this part" are added.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the former reference to admission to
"any premises in order to engage or participate in" bingo is deleted as
implicit in the reference to admission to "bingo".
