13-908. SAME — PRIZES.
(A) MONEY PRIZES.
EXCEPT AS PROVIDED IN SUBSECTION (B) OF THIS SECTION, A PERMIT HOLDER
MAY NOT AWARD A MONEY PRIZE GREATER THAN:
(1) $100 TO A PLAYER OF A REGULAR BINGO GAME; OR
(2) $250 TO A PLAYER OF A SPECIAL BINGO GAME, SUCH AS A BUILD-UP
OR PROGRESSIVE POT GAME, SPLIT-THE-POT GAME, OR WINNER-TAKE-ALL GAME.
(B) JACKPOTS.
A PERMIT HOLDER MAY AWARD A JACKPOT NOT EXCEEDING $1,000 IF THE
JACKPOT IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED WITH THE PLAYING OF BINGO.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 27, § 248A(d).
Throughout this section, the references to a "permit holder" are added to
clarify who must comply with this section.
In subsection (a) of this section, the reference to a "money" prize is
substituted for the former reference to a "cash" prize for consistency within
this title.
In subsection (b) of this section, the former reference to "games" is deleted
as surplusage.
13-909. PENALTIES.
(A) PROHIBITED.
A PERSON MAY NOT KNOWINGLY OPERATE OR ATTEMPT TO OPERATE A GAMING
EVENT IN VIOLATION OF THIS SUBTITLE.
(B) PENALTY.
A PERSON WHO VIOLATES THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND
ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO IMPRISONMENT NOT EXCEEDING 1 YEAR OR A FINE
NOT EXCEEDING $1,000 OR BOTH.

In subsection (a) of this section, the former references to an "association"
