Bill No. 853, 2001 Legislative Session A BILL TO AMEND CHAPTER 60-2 OF THE TALBOT COUNTY CODE TO
INCREASE THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE TALBOT COUNTY ETHICS
COMMISSION FROM THREE (3) TO FIVE (5) MEMBERS, TO ESTABLISH A
QUORUM OF THREE (3) MEMBERS, AND TO ALLOW AN AFFIRMATIVE VOTE
BY A MAJORITY OF THOSE PRESENT TO CONDUCT ANY BUSINESS.
Bill No. 856, 2001 Legislative Session A BILL TO AMEND CHAPTER 190 ZONING, OF THE TALBOT COUNTY CODE,
BY AMENDING THE GENERAL TABLE OF LAND USE REGULATIONS OF
ARTICLE XV, SECTION 190-19, TO ADD RIDING STABLES AND TRAILS AND
HORSE BOARDING (COMMERCIAL) AS A SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE IN THE
TOWN RESIDENTIAL (TR) ZONING DISTRICT ON PARCELS TWENTY (20)
ACRES OR GREATER IN SIZE.
WICOMICO COUNTY
Bill No. 2001-1 AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Council of Wicomico County,
Maryland to borrow on the full faith and credit of Wicomico County, Maryland an
amount not exceeding Seven Million Five Hundred Thirty-five Thousand Five
Hundred Twenty Dollars ($7,535,520.00) and to evidence such borrowing by the issue
and sale of the general obligation bonds of the County, the proceeds thereof to be used
by the County Council of Wicomico County for the several County Departments
involved in capital improvements, including Wor-Wic Community College, Eastern
Shore Criminal Justice Academy, Public Works Department, Court House, Recreation
and Parks Department and by the Board of Education of Wicomico County for the
construction and renovation of facilities, repairs and acquisition of equipment
therefor as hereinafter set forth. Said expenses are to include, but not be limited to,
architectural and engineering fees and other expenses in conjunction with said
programs; prescribing the procedure for the issuance of said bonds and the terms
thereof; authorizing annual appropriations to pay the principal of and interest on said
bonds and the levying of taxes to meet said appropriations, subject to any lawful
limitations on the County's taxing power set forth in the Charter, as that taxing
power may relate to the bonds; and providing that the provisions of this Act shall be
separable.
Bill No. 2001-2 AN ACT to amend Chapter 225 of the Wicomico County Code, titled "Zoning," by
the addition of a definition of "Family Burial Ground" in Article I, Section 225-3,
titled "Definitions and word usage," and by the amendment of Article II, titled "A-1
Agriculture/Rural District," Section 225-5, titled "Uses"; B, "Uses permitted by
special exception," to provide for family burial grounds as special exceptions.
