Resolution No. 227 A RESOLUTION BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF HAVRE DE GRACE,
MARYLAND, ADOPTED PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY OF ARTICLE XI-E OF
THE CONSTITUTION OF MARYLAND AND THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 23A
OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1957 EDITION, 1998
REPLACEMENT VOLUME, AND AMENDMENTS THERETO) TITLED
"CORPORATIONS-MUNICIPAL;" TO AMEND THE CHARTER OF HAVRE DE
GRACE, MARYLAND, AMENDING SECTION 17 THEREOF TO PROVIDE THAT
CITY MAYORAL ELECTIONS TAKE PLACE ON THE FIRST TUESDAY AFTER
THE FIRST MONDAY IN MAY. [Section 17 of the Charter of the City of Havre de Grace, Harford County, as
found in the Public Local Laws of Maryland - Compilation of Municipal Charters
(1990 Replacement Edition and 2000 Supplement), repealed and reenacted, with
amendments. Effective Date November 20, 2001]
