8-102. RULES OF CONSTRUCTION.
(A) INSUFFICIENT FUNDS.
FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SUBTITLE, A DRAWER HAS INSUFFICIENT FUNDS WITH
A DRAWEE TO COVER A CHECK WHEN THE DRAWER HAS WITH THE DRAWEE:
(1) NO ACCOUNT;
(2) ONLY A CLOSED ACCOUNT;
(3) NO FUNDS; OR
(4) FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT THAT IS LESS THAN THE AMOUNT NEEDED TO
COVER THE CHECK.
(B) SAME — NO ACCOUNT.
A CHECK DISHONORED FOR "NO ACCOUNT" HAS BEEN DISHONORED FOR
"INSUFFICIENT FUNDS".
REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived without substantive
change from former Art. 27, § 140(d).
In subsection (a) of this section, the introductory phrase "[f]or purposes of
this subtitle" is added to clarify the scope of the subsection.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the reference in the introductory
language to "the drawer" is substituted for the former reference to the
masculine pronoun "he" for clarity and gender neutrality.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the former word "whatever" is deleted
as surplusage.
Also in subsection (a) of this section, the references to funds and accounts
"with the drawee" are added for clarity.
In subsection (b) of this section, the former word "also" is deleted as
surplusage.

8-103. OBTAINING PROPERTY OR SERVICES BY BAD CHECK.
