6-307. SAME — POSSESSION AND USE.
(A) PROHIBITED.
A PERSON MAY NOT:
(1) SELL OR POSSESS A STOLEN:
(I) MANUFACTURED SERIAL NUMBER; OR
(II) VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION PLATE OR LABEL; OR
(2) POSSESS A MANUFACTURED SERIAL NUMBER OR VEHICLE
IDENTIFICATION PLATE OR LABEL IF THE PERSON INTENDS IT TO BE:
(I) AFFIXED TO STOLEN PROPERTY; OR
(II) USED FOR FRAUDULENT PURPOSES.
(B) PENALTY.
A PERSON WHO VIOLATES A PROVISION OF THIS SECTION IS GUILTY OF A
MISDEMEANOR AND ON CONVICTION IS SUBJECT TO IMPRISONMENT NOT
EXCEEDING 18 MONTHS OR A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $500 OR BOTH FOR EACH
VIOLATION.
