H.B. 114 VETOES

vetoed House Bill 114 - Clerks of Circuit Courts - Auditor's Reports and Bonds -
Recording and Indexing. This bill repeals the requirement that each circuit court clerk record, index and
maintain audit reports of the distribution of proceeds of a sale of real or personal
property if ratified by the court and all bonds in any proceeding in the court. Senate Bill 199, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House
Bill 114. Sincerely, Parris N. Glendening

fees of the clerks of the circuit courts; providing for the effective date of this Act;
and generally relating to information required to be maintained by the clerks of
the circuit courts. BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings
Section 2-201(a)(2)
Annotated Code of Maryland (1998 Replacement Volume and 2001 Supplement) BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
