Street in Frederick, and recorded in Liber TB 1 Folio 469 one of the land records of
Frederick County, Maryland, and known as "The Old Jail Site":
1. At a public or private sale;
2. To any nonprofit charitable organization; and
3. After the property has been advertised for at least 20
days.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect October 1, 2002.

Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I have today
vetoed Senate Bill 440 - Frederick County - State's Attorney - Salary.
This bill increases the salary of the Frederick County State's Attorney from 80
percent to 90 percent of the salary of a judge of the District Court of Maryland
beginning with the next term of office.
House Bill 367, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me,
accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate
Bill 440.
