Special Taxing District, for the development and utilization of the land, each with
respect to any defined geographic region with the County;
(B) CONVENTION CENTERS, CONFERENCE CENTERS, AND
VISITORS' CENTERS;
(C) INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS MAINTENANCE AND
MAINTENANCE OF CONVENTION CENTERS, CONFERENCE CENTERS, AND VISITORS'
CENTERS; AND
(D) MARKETING THE SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT FACILITIES AND
OTHER IMPROVEMENTS.
21A-108.
(a) The Authority may issue bonds for the purpose of financing or refinancing,
in whole or in part, the cost of any one or more of the projects undertaken by the
Authority INCLUDING BONDS ISSUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH § 9-1301 OF ARTICLE 24
OF THE ANNOTATED CODE AND TITLE 14, SUBTITLE 2 OF ARTICLE 41 OF THE
ANNOTATED CODE.
21A-109.
(a) As specified by local law, and to the extent not inconsistent with any
constitutional or Charter provision or any public general or public local law, the
County may:
(1) Assign, pledge, grant, contribute, or provide to the Authority any
taxes, INCLUDING HOTEL RENTAL TAXES, rates, rentals, fees, charges, or other funds
held or receivable by the County for any purpose, including as additional security for
any bonds of the Authority; and
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 2002.

AN ACT concerning
Charles County - New School Capacity Financing Mechanism
FOR the purpose of establishing a new school capacity financing mechanism in
Charles County; repealing certain provisions of law requiring a developer of
certain land to reimburse the county for costs of constructing additional public
school facilities; authorizing the County Commissioners to issue borrow not
more than $100,000,000 by issuing certain bonds on the full faith and credit of
