CHAPTER 562
(House Bill 1211) AN ACT concerning Washington County - Museum of Fine Arts - Board of Trustees FOR the purpose of altering the number of years in the term of office of an elected
trustee of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts; limiting the number of
consecutive terms an elected trustee may serve; prohibiting an elected trustee
from serving for a certain period of time after the last day of the trustee's second
consecutive term; establishing the term of office of an ex officio trustee; limiting
the number of consecutive terms an elected trustee may serve if the trustee was
elected to fill a vacant office; prohibiting an elected trustee from serving for a
certain period of time after the last day of the trustee's first full term if the
trustee was originally elected to fill a vacant office; altering certain terms; and
generally relating to the trustees of the Washington County Museum of Fine
Arts. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, The Public Local Laws of Washington County
Section 12-102 Article 22 - Public Local Laws of Maryland (1991 Edition and December 1997 Supplement, as amended) (As enacted by Chapter 237 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1998 and
Chapter 171 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2000) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article 22 - Washington County 12-102. (a) There is a Board of Trustees of the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts. (b) The Board consists of the following members: (1) [15] NOT MORE THAN 21 trustees [appointed] ELECTED by the Board; (2) As an ex officio [member] TRUSTEE, the President of the Board of
County Commissioners or a County Commissioner designated by the President; (3) As an ex officio [member] TRUSTEE, the Superintendent of Schools
of Washington County OR THE SUPERINTENDENT'S DESIGNEE; (4) As an ex officio [member] TRUSTEE, the Mayor of the City of
Hagerstown or a City Council member designated by the Mayor;
