incurred in attending meetings or performing other official duties shall be paid. Each
local board shall select its own chairman on July 1st of each year. (2) Each local board chairman shall serve as liaison between the local
board and the State Board. (3) (i) In Frederick County and in Garrett County, the local board
shall be composed of at least 9 but no more than 13 members, as determined by the
Board of County Commissioners. (ii) In Montgomery County, the local board shall be composed of at
least 9 but no more than 13 members, as provided by local law enacted by the County
Council and approved by the County Executive. (III) IN BALTIMORE CITY, THE LOCAL BOARD SHALL BE COMPOSED
OF AT LEAST 9 BUT NO MORE THAN 13 MEMBERS, AS PROVIDED BY LOCAL LAW
ENACTED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF BALTIMORE CITY. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October July 1, 2002. Approved April 9, 2002.
CHAPTER 9
(Senate Bill 181) AN ACT concerning Calvert County - Community Learning Center Loan of 2001 FOR the purpose of amending the purpose of the project in Chapter 405 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 2001, Calvert County - Community Learning Center
Loan of 2001, to allow the acquisition of property and eliminating the reference
to specific property; and generally relating to the Calvert County - Community
Learning Center Loan of 2001. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Chapter 405 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2001
Section 1(3) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Chapter 405 of the Acts of 2001 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That: (3) The cash proceeds of the sale of the bonds shall be paid to the Treasurer
and first shall be applied to the payment of the expenses of issuing, selling, and
