2004, if funds are available.
General Fund Appropriation, provided that
$400,000 of this appropriation designated
for historically black colleges and
universities (HBCUs) may only be
expended to facilitate the purchase and/or
loan of personal computers for students
who could not otherwise afford them at
Morgan State University. The equitable
distribution of remaining enhancement
funds shall not consider the
aforementioned grant to Morgan State
University.
Further provided that $3,000,000 in general
funds designated to enhance the State's
four public historically black institutions
may not be expended until the Maryland
Higher Education Commission submits a
report to the budget committees outlining
how the funds will be spent. The budget
committees shall have 45 days to review
and comment on the report .......................
