Ch. 421 2002 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(d) (1) A person may not cause a life-threatening injury to another as a
result of the person's negligently driving, operating, or controlling a motor vehicle or
vessel while the person is impaired by alcohol. (e) (1) A person may not cause a life-threatening injury to another as a
result of the person's negligently driving, operating, or controlling a motor vehicle or
vessel while the person is so far impaired by a drug, a combination of drugs, or a
combination of one or more drugs and alcohol that the person cannot drive, operate, or
control a motor vehicle or vessel safely. (f) (2) A person may not cause a life-threatening injury to another as a
result of the person's negligently driving, operating, or controlling a motor vehicle or
vessel while the person is impaired by a controlled dangerous substance as defined in
§ 5-101 of this article. Article - Criminal Procedure 6-220. (d) Notwithstanding subsections (b) and (c) of this section, a court may not
stay the entering of judgment and place a defendant on probation for: (1) a violation of § 21-902 of the Transportation Article OR § 2-503, §
2-504, § 2-505, § 2-506, OR § 3-211 OF THE CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, if within the
preceding 5 years the defendant has been convicted under § 21-902 OF THE
TRANSPORTATION ARTICLE OR § 2-503, § 2-504, § 2-505, § 2-506, OR § 3-211 OF THE
CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE, or has been placed on probation [under that section] IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THIS SECTION, after being charged with a violation of § 21-902 of
the Transportation Article OR § 2-503, § 2-504, § 2-505, § 2-506, OR § 3-211 OF THE
CRIMINAL LAW ARTICLE; SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2002. Approved May 6, 2002.

(House Bill 1370) AN ACT concerning Education - Maryland Educational Opportunity Summer Pilot Program - Expansion and Extension FOR the purpose of expanding the Maryland Educational Opportunity Summer Pilot
Program to apply statewide under certain circumstances; extending to a certain
date the termination provisions for the Pilot Program; and generally relating to
the Maryland Educational Opportunity Summer Pilot Program. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
