(House Bill 1289)
AN ACT concerning
Cecil County - Retirement and Pensions
FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of Cecil County to
establish and maintain a retirement system for officers and employees of Cecil
County; and generally relating to the establishment and maintenance of a
retirement system for officers and employees of Cecil County. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 25 - County Commissioners
Section 3(a) Annotated Code of Maryland
(2001 Replacement Volume) BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
Article 25 - County Commissioners
Section 3(g) Annotated Code of Maryland
(2001 Replacement Volume) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
3. (a) (1) The county commissioners of each county in this State, in addition to,
but not in substitution of, the powers which have been or may be granted them, have
the following express powers.
The following counties are excepted from these express powers.
(2) (i)
(ii) Anne Arundel County; included, however, in subsections (t)(3) and (t-1);
Baltimore County; included, however, in subsection (t)(3);
Cecil County; included, however, in subsections (G), (l), (s-1),
(iii)
(iv) and (t)(3) and (t-1);
Howard County; included, however, in subsections (t)(3) and
(v)
(t-1);
