2002 LAWS OF MARYLAND
(2) A HEALTH CARE FACILITY SHALL: (I) IMPLEMENT THE PAIN MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAM
DEVELOPED BY THE DEPARTMENT; AND
(II) REQUIRE ATTENDANCE IN THE PROGRAM BY ALL EMPLOYEES
OR INDIVIDUALS WHO WORK IN THE HEALTH CARE FACILITY AND PROVIDE MEDICAL
CARE DIRECTLY TO PATIENTS.
(E) FACILITIES WHO ARE CURRENTLY ACCREDITED BY THE JOINT
COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION OF HEALTH CARE ORGANIZATIONS ("JCAHO") AND
WHO HAVE MET THE PAIN MANAGEMENT
STANDARDS ESTABLISHED BY THAT
ORGANIZATION SHALL BE DEEMED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THIS SUBTITLE.
(F) THE SECRETARY SHALL ADOPT REGULATIONS TO IMPLEMENT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2002. SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect
October 1, 2002. Section 2 of this Act shall remain effective for a period of 2 years and,
at the end of September 30, 2004, with no further action required by the General
Assembly, Section 2 of this Act shall be abrogated and of no further force and effect.

(House Bill 441) AN ACT concerning Title Insurance Producers and Agencies - Statements of Financial
Condition - Repeal of Filing Requirement FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement that a title insurer have on file by a
certain date a certain statement of financial condition of each title insurance
producer and agency with an appointment with the title insurer; repealing the
exception to the financial statement requirement for certain employees, officers,
directors, partners, or members; repealing the exception to the financial
statement requirement for law firms and individual attorneys practicing in law
firms; and generally relating to statements of financial condition of title
insurance producers and agencies required to be filed with title insurers. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
