(e) IN HARFORD COUNTY, A MEMBER OF THE BOARD SERVES FOR A TERM OF
5 YEARS, BEGINNING ON JULY 1, AND UNTIL A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND
QUALIFIES. (F) Each member of a board serves without compensation. SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 2002. Approved May 6, 2002.
CHAPTER 326
(Senate Bill 569) AN ACT concerning Law Enforcement Officers' Pension System - Membership FOR the purpose of providing certain employees of the Division of Rehabilitation
Services in the Department of Education with the option to participate in the
Law Enforcement Officers' Pension System on or before a certain date; and
generally relating to the election of certain employees of the Division of
Rehabilitation Services in the Department of Education to participate in the
Law Enforcement Officers' Pension System. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article - State Personnel and Pensions
Section 26-201 and 26-202
Annotated Code of Maryland (1997 Replacement Volume and 2001 Supplement) SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: Article - State Personnel and Pensions 26-201. (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, this subtitle applies
only to: (1) an employee of the Department of Natural Resources commissioned
by the Secretary of Natural Resources as: (i) a Natural Resources police officer; or
(ii) a law enforcement officer, other than a Natural Resources police officer;
