(A) IN GENERAL,

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived without
substantive change from former Art. 27, § 416(a)(2).
The reference to a "certified" practitioner is added to reflect that several of
the types of practitioner listed in this subsection are "certified" rather than
"licensed" - physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and two of the five
types of emergency medical services providers: emergency medical
technician - ambulance and emergency medical technician - basic.
In item (13) of this subsection, the reference to an emergency medical
services provider licensed or certified "in accordance with" ED § 13-516 is
